Animal Nutrition and Biotechnology explores the science behind animal feeding, nutrient use and selected biological technologies relevant to livestock improvement. It considers how feed composition, digestion, nutrient balance and production goals influence animal performance. The biotechnology component introduces scientific approaches used to investigate biological processes and support improvements in animal agriculture, subject to the methods and facilities available in a given programme.
